The radio scene in Ireland at the beginning of the 1980s was very diverse and also a little chaotic.

They were all "pirate stations", because no one had a licence. Anyone who wanted , could broadcast. Almost every larger town had one or two stations on MW. For Dx'ers, it was MW paradise.

In 1989 it was over and all stations were closed. Licences were issued
