The radio scene in Ireland at the beginning of
the 1980s was very diverse and also a little chaotic.
They were all "pirate stations", because no one
had a licence. Anyone who wanted , could broadcast. Almost every larger town had
one or two stations on MW. For Dx'ers, it was MW paradise.
In 1989 it was over and all stations were closed.
